These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Zilch Junk Removal's services and website, operated by 54 Capital Group ("we," "us," or "our"). By booking a pickup or using our website, you agree to these Terms in full.
Our Services
Zilch Junk Removal provides residential and commercial junk removal, furniture hauling, estate cleanouts, and donation haul services in San Diego County, California. We operate a donation-first model — all usable items are offered to local charities before disposal.
Booking & Reservation
Zilch Junk Removal offers a 100% free booking request with zero upfront cost. No payment is required today. Booking confirms your request, and our friendly local crew will confirm final pricing over the phone or in person before any loading begins.
- Booking requests are free and do not require any card deposits
- Rescheduling requests can be made easily by contacting us directly via text or WhatsApp
- Cancellations or changes can be accommodated at any time before our crew dispatches
Pricing
Our pricing is based on the volume, size, and type of items removed. The online booking form provides an estimated cost based on the items you select. All estimates are subject to adjustment upon on-site assessment.
- Final pricing is confirmed on-site before any work begins
- You are not obligated to proceed if the final price differs from your estimate
- Additional fees may apply for items requiring extra labor, stair carries, or special handling
- A 7% fuel surcharge applies to all jobs
We do not charge hidden fees. Any adjustments to the estimate will be communicated clearly before your items are loaded.
Payment
We accept all major credit and debit cards processed securely through Square. The balance due after the reservation fee is collected upon job completion. We do not accept cash.
SMS / Text Messaging Terms
Program name: Zilch Junk Removal Pickup & Donation Updates.
Program description: When you check the SMS consent box on our booking form at zilchremoval.com, you agree to receive text messages from Zilch Junk Removal related to your pickup, including booking confirmations, appointment and arrival reminders, updates about the charitable donation impact of your items, and occasional service-feedback requests.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your booking activity — typically 2–4 messages per job.
Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opt-out: You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send a confirmation and then no further messages, unless you re-subscribe.

Privacy: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Donation Policy
Zilch Junk Removal operates a donation-first model. We make reasonable efforts to donate usable items to local charities including Goodwill, Salvation Army, Father Joe's, Hospice of the North Coast, and other San Diego nonprofits. However, we cannot guarantee that any specific item will be accepted for donation, as acceptance is at the sole discretion of the receiving organization.
- Donation receipts are provided for items successfully donated
- The value of donated items is assessed by the receiving charity, not by Zilch
- Items that cannot be donated will be disposed of responsibly
- Zilch is not responsible for the tax deductibility of any donation — consult your tax advisor
Items We Cannot Accept
For safety and legal compliance, we are unable to remove the following:
- Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, solvents, pesticides)
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Medical waste or sharps
- Ammunition or explosives
- Propane tanks (unless empty and valve removed)
Access & Property
You are responsible for ensuring our crew has safe, legal access to the items being removed. You represent that you have the legal right to dispose of all items scheduled for removal. Zilch is not liable for damage caused by pre-existing conditions or items that were not disclosed at the time of booking.
Our crew will take reasonable care when moving items through your property. In the event of damage caused by our negligence, please contact us within 48 hours of your pickup.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellation: The $18 reservation fee is non-refundable. No further charge applies if you cancel
- Rescheduling: Contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled pickup to reschedule at no charge
- Late cancellation: Cancellations within 2 hours of your scheduled pickup may result in an additional fee at our discretion
- No-show: If we arrive and cannot access the property or items, the reservation fee is forfeited and a return trip fee may apply
Service Area
We serve all of San Diego County, California. Jobs outside our standard service area may be subject to additional travel fees, which will be disclosed before booking is confirmed.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zilch Junk Removal's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific job in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of San Diego County, California.
